Meet Monsieur Flap. You will hear him before you see him by his unmistakeable slurping foot steps. Small in stature but big in ambition, Monsieur Flap carries a dream as old as humanity itself: to fly—….and to run away with the circus.

His journey is a tangled and veiled search for what lies within. Between awkward attempts, new discoveries, and moments of quiet triumph, he uncovers the courage to become more than he believed possible, inviting audiences of all ages to rediscover the joy of wonder.


Inspired by the french cartoonist Nicolas Athané and Brice Chevillard, “Monsieur Flap” blends body puppetry with contemporary circus into a playful, visually rich performance without words. Tender, humorous, and deeply human, it is an ode to aspiration, resilience, and the invisible impulse that keeps us reaching beyond ourselves.

The act “LOLA” (2019) // 8-9 minutes

The dance trapeze performance “Lola” was developed in collaboration with the director Anna-Katharina Andree and the French trapeze artist Tamryn Escalante (CNAC). Since its premiere, the piece has played in more then 7 countries, to over 500,000 spectators and has been part of larger ensembles like the GOP Varieté Theater (2020-22), “Cirque Bouffon” (2023-24) and “Hullis-Die Dinnershow( 2025-26).
