Meet Lola, the counterpart of monsieur flap

Lola and Monsieur Flap go way back to 2017 when they first met. While Monsieur Flap carries the weight of limitation, Lola is what unfolds beyond it. Once confined to a tiny, cramped space, she finally breaks free.

She is his opposite: fierce where he hesitates, dynamic where he is restrained. And yet, despite their contrasts, they share the same core, inseparable despite their differences.

Driven by a desire for expansion, ambition, and the pure joy of movement, Lola embarks on a journey of transformation. On the dance trapeze, she invites you into a world where aerial vocabulary intertwines with storytelling and movement becomes transformation.

The act “LOLA” (2019) // 8-9 minutes

The dance trapeze performance “Lola” was developed in collaboration with the director Anna-Katharina Andree and the French trapeze artist Tamryn Escalante (CNAC). Since its premiere, the piece has played in more then 7 countries, to over 500,000 spectators and has been part of larger ensembles like the GOP Varieté Theater (2020-22), “Cirque Bouffon” (2023-24), Sladami Singera Tour (2024) and “Hullis-Die Dinnershow( 2025-26).
